Liz Hunt featured in Civic Nebraska Article

DayCloud Studios‘ Owner & Creative Director, Liz Hunt, was quoted in Building Young Leaders, a monthly feature highlighting staff and volunteers who make up Civic Nebraska’s Youth Civic Leadership Program on September 28, 2018.

Hunt is a coach for Circles, an initiative connecting middle-school girls to highly successful, professional women in their own communities to demonstrate real-world skill sets used by women in the workplace.

Hunt says she learned strength and independence from her mother, and feels a calling to bring that message to empower other young women in her community.

“My goal is not to change the minds of men about women. It’s to change the minds of women about women,” said Hunt.

“I make my own lane. I want to show young women that they’re capable of making their own lanes, too.”

Hunt says Circles has given her the avenue to reach the next generation of “future queens.” Her main message with Circles is: “Don’t let other people define who you are.”

“There’s nothing better than when the light bulbs come on. And even if they don’t realize it at the time, I hope that some of my words will come back to them during times that matter for their lives.”
