Lex Gowans has been a storyteller since childhood. She honed her skills in theater, writing scripts and designing playbills at a performing arts high school in her native Miami, Florida, and continued at the University of South Dakota’s art school as a theatre studies major – emphasis in direction – and women, gender and sexuality studies minor.
After COVID shuttered her offer to be a writer for a Hulu pilot in LA, Lex ended up in Omaha, working in industries as varied as her talents and interests. She was a creative director, photographer, and web designer for a vintage store, a marketing strategist and creative director for a service industry firm, and a digital marketing specialist and creative director for a finance firm.
As DayCloud’s new digital marketing strategist, Lex welcomes the studio’s range of diverse clients and the close-knit team of creatives with whom she works. “The trust and respect at DayCloud is incredible. This is super crucial because it empowers you to do what you do best.” And what Lex does best is to strategize the best way to tell a story by taking in the big picture.
