Kara Bernbeck

Designer

The studio’s newest graphic designer brings a passion for visual storytelling with a talent for illustration to match.

She can sing with her mouth closed and whip through a Rubik’s Cube. While fun, these mad skills aren’t what make Kara’s addition to the DayCloud crowd so exciting.

Originally from Stanton, Nebraska, Kara initially became interested in art as a student at Elkhorn South High School, where she took numerous art classes and the first of many graphic design courses. She went on to earn a BFA, with a concentration in graphic design and minors in art history and marketing, from the University of Nebraska Omaha. She opted for a less traditional career path by launching Kara Bernbeck Design after graduation. After working on her own for a few years, Kara is excited to be part of a creative, like minded team with whom she can bounce around ideas.” She says she looks forward to “helping clients reach their audience more effectively through impactful visual messaging.”

Kara is an enthusiastic advocate for taking care of our planet and seeks to minimize human impact on the environment through eco-friendly, sustainable practices. She explores these themes through her art, including screen printed cards, totes, apparel and more, which are available on her small online store. In addition to playing a mean ukulele, Kara is an avid reader who is currently exploring other galaxies via fantasy fiction, preferably from the comfort of her hammock in a sunny city park.
