Kaitlyn Rudeen

Executive Assistant

She’s a true crime junkie and serial killer aficionado. Her favorite Disney cartoon is the classic, Bing Crosby-narrated “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow,” and she likes nothing more than hitting the highway for a haunted road trip of her own (sans Headless Horseman, however). Given her penchant for the phantasmal, it’s not surprising that Kaitlyn legally changed her middle name to honor a hair-raising holiday.

Originally from State College, Pennsylvania, Penn State University graduate Kaitlyn joins DCS as its executive assistant, lending the position both her creative flare and organizational strengths. As a local theater actor, director, and playwright, she is used to being in the spotlight. But she considers herself DayCloud’s “elf behind the scenes” who makes certain business runs smoothly, and she is enthused about joining a fast-paced, dynamic work environment. “It’s amazing to be on a team of creatives and not the creative person on a team,” she says.

In addition to being an enthusiastic consumer of massive amounts of bread and cheese, Kaitlyn continues to be active in The Bluebarn Theater, The Omaha Community Playhouse, and Rave On Productions, to name a few. And nothing is so satisfying than college and theater contacts across the country reaching out with requests to perform her original works, some of which have made nationally recognized Top 9 lists for new works on The New Play Exchange.
